2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray—CSR2
The Chevrolet Corvette (C8) is the eighth generation of the Corvette sports car manufactured by American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet. It is the first mid-engine Corvette since the model's introduction in 1953, differing from the traditional front-engine design.
Back in 1960, Chevrolet wanted to build a mid-engine sports car. Today, Chevrolet finally brings a mid-engined Corvette, with a 6.2-liter V8 that makes 495 hp, an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the top speed can reach 305 km/h.

In CSR Racing 2
The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was the CSR2 milestone car of season 92. There are two versions of the Corvette, the normal 4 star Stingray and the 4 purple star Z51 Performance Package for the top 10 teams.
The standard Stingray of the Corvette can fit 91 Fusion parts, the 4 purple star Z51 Performance Package can fit 98 Fusions. The Stingray could run 10.241s, which was surprisingly fast in Tier 4.

Exterior
Mr. Kirk Bennion and his team were responsible for the exterior design of the C8 mid-engine Corvette. Kirk has been working with the Corvette design studio since 1986, and he is an avid amateur race driver and understands the importance of how aerodynamics improve a Corvette's track performance.
The Corvette C8 Stingray's exterior has a bold, futuristic expression with mid-engine exotic proportions, but it is still unmistakably a Corvette. It's lean and muscular, with an athletic sculptural shape conveying a sense of motion and power from every angle.
True to its aeronautical and racing roots, the new Stingray's canopy-forward stance was inspired by F22s, F35s and other modern fighter jets and Formula One racing.
The new location of the engine is truly the focal point for the car's design. A lightweight, 3.2 mm-thick glass panel on the rear hatch allows owners to show off the engine.
The classic Corvette signatures adapted to the Stingray include a distinctive face that communicates the purpose of the vehicle's mission, a classic horizontal crease, aggressive front fenders and familiar positioning of the dual-element headlamps.
Furthermore, there are 12 exterior colors - Torch Red, Arctic White, Black, Blade Silver Metallic, Shadow Gray, Ceramic Matrix Gray, Long Beach Red, Elkhart Lake Blue and Sebring Orange - plus three all-new colors: Rapid Blue, Zeus Bronze and Accelerate Yellow.

Interior & Trunk
Mr. Tristan Murphy, a lead interior design manager whose team helped develop the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
Murphy says there were months of discussions, design reviews and clay models that helped them reach this conclusion. He and the design team also sat in a number of cars, including LaFerraris, Porsche 918s and McLarens, for inspiration.
Along with the new and returning C8 Corvette interior colors, there are a few bucket seat options available for buyers. You can select from GT1 bucket seats, GT2 bucket seats and Competition Sport bucket seats in the CSR2 C8.
Paired with Chevrolet's first eight speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), which is designed with TREMEC to provide the spirited, direct connected feeling of a manual and the premium driving comfort of an automatic.
The DCT is also mated to a new Electronic Transmission Range Selector. It incorporates two pull toggles for Reverse and Drive and push buttons for Park, Neutral and Low/Manual.
Corvette's next-generation infotainment system is faster and simpler, with a higher resolution display.
The industry-pioneering Performance Data Recorder, an advanced driving analysis tool upgraded with high-definition resolution camera and a new, in-vehicle user interface. Customers can record both circuit and point-to-point road courses.
A trunk is located at the rear, with additional storage space at the front of the car. Combined, these provide 13 cubic feet (370 L) of cargo space, 2 cubic feet (57 L) less than that of the C7. Also, C8 preserves the Corvette's beloved standard removable roof panel, which can easily be stored in the rear trunk.
There are 5 interior color themes: Jet Black, Adrenaline Red, Natural/ Natural Dipped, Two-Tone Blue and Morello Red.

Performace
Following several experimental CERV prototype vehicles, the C8 is GM's first production mid-engine sports car since the Pontiac Fiero was discontinued.
Mr. Tadge Juechter, the Corvette executive chief engineer mentioned:
"Our mission was to develop a new type of sports car, combining the successful attributes of Corvette with the performance and driving experience of mid-engine supercars … No Corvette has ever felt so comfortable, nimble and yet completely stable."
The new Stingray's heart is Chevy's next-generation 6.2l Small Block V-8 LT2 engine, the only naturally aspirated V-8 in the segment.
It will produce 495 horsepower (369 kW) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft ) of torque when equipped with performance exhaust - the most horsepower and torque for any entry Corvette.
The powertrain's low position enables a low center of gravity for optimal handling. Perhaps the biggest update is found in the lubrication and ventilation system.
And for the first time ever, the base Stingray will use an engine-mounted dry sump oil system and three scavenge pumps for improved track performance.

Mr. Zora Arkus-Duntov
Today's modern Corvette may have ended up in the scrap pile of good ideas that never went anywhere if it hadn't been for an immigrant with sketchy spelling.
Mr. Zora Arkus-Duntov, a Russian born in Belgium who came to America on the eve of World War II, managed to work his way into General Motors and became both the car's first chief engineer and the first champion of the mid-engined Corvette.
Harley Earl, father of the Corvette, rightly stands in first place in the car's history, but Arkus-Duntov is right behind him. He led the push to make the Corvette a real sports car, with fuel injection, an independent rear suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes.
However, in the 70s, GM was selling almost 40,000 Corvettes a year and even couldn't meet demand; there was no reason to risk this success with unproven designs and technology. Arkus-Duntov would officially retire in January 1975 without realizing his dream. He couldn't have known that 44 long years later, with the C8, Arkus-Duntov's concepts finally came full circle.
