[NDS] First video of Race Driver: Create and Race revealed

“You have to see it to believe it” is an oft-used clich; in this business but with Create and Race it’s actually true – the speed and smoothness at which it plays seems at odds with the diminutive size of the handheld console, and no matter how many times we say it “this is the fastest and smoothest racing game on DS”, it still meets with a certain amount of scepticism. It’s timely then, that we’ve released this video today, showing the game running in all its flat-out glory.

In addition to that, we’ve also released the full list of cars and tracks featured in the game. Create and Race focuses on a selection of the cars from Race Driver 3, with the full AV8SCC and DTM roster from that game present, as well as Classic GT cars, Muscle cars, Oval racing, trucks and more, with 22 car types and multiple liveries for many.

Cars without anywhere to race them wouldn’t be much fun, so Create and Race includes 32 tracks, including such legendary courses as Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the mighty Bathurst.
And that’s not counting the billions of possible tracks you can make using the in-game track editor, where you can create the tracks you’ve always dreamed of, then share them with your friends simply and easily across the console’s wireless connection. The only real limit is your imagination, with a massive selection of track pieces to choose from, and you creativity need not be limited to the simple shape of the track - there are scenery elements, such as hills and forests to place as well. Additionally the game’s advanced adaptive AI system means that you can race your own tracks in single player against competitive computer opponents.
